Bio

Kelly describes himself as a general legal practitioner, bringing more than 53 years of experience as a lawyer to the day to day legal issues of clients. Self-employed since 1975, he has had offices in Papatoetoe, Remuera and Auckland City, and during the last 30 years, he has devoted himself to looking after the people of the city’s Eastern suburbs. Besides being a lawyer, he is also a broadcaster and community leader.

Kelly’s focus is on helping people to help themselves by the provision of practical, down to earth legal advice. Kelly believes in fair and open pricing, particularly in the property market. In times past, Kelly put his legal experience and communication skills to use as a broadcaster, providing legal advice on Radio Pacific and NewsTalkZB.

Kelly’s community involvement has seen him taking on a number of responsibilities, firstly as a Papatoetoe City Councillor, as Works Committee Chairman of that Council, and variously as Vice President of the Auckland Swimming Association, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Buckland’s Beach Primary School.

Currently Kelly enjoys life as a husband, father, grandfather, and carer for two cats.
